PayPal’s Funky new card reader, designed by 3form Design

3form Design are on the front line of innovation yet again.

Its name is PayPal Here.

This little card reader leads the way with its good looks and high level security. In this fast moving market, this solution had a critical and very short delivery timeframe.

Even the very earliest concepts presented by 3form Design had an engineering intelligence. Our client was able to choose and sign off a concept confident that the design intent would remain. No costly time delays whilst changes were approved at board level.

With our eye firmly on goal, we achieved a fully toleranced, manufacturable solution, delivered in very tight timescales, on budget, and exactly as the concept approved by PayPal just a few months before.

We even added innovation with features for enhanced security. Easy to assemble, it has a multitude of security features included in the design to offer a neat, compact, robust and secure solution.

PayPal Here allows small merchants to accept credit and debit cards under a more-stringent and complex system in Europe - Chip and PIN.

PayPal has 18 million accounts in the UK, and hopes to leverage its considerable presence to encourage merchants to sign up.
